Papaya fights infections.

The plant has many properties that support the immune system along with providing important vitamins like A, C, and E. Its beta carotene and Vitamin E help damaged skin cells and this is why Papaya is such a prevalent ingredient in many topical skin solutions.

Vitamin E supports collagen production.

It’s very soothing to pimples and inflammation, this is because of the enzymes chymopapain and papain, which work like exfoliating products for clogged pores.

Papain can also help with what some people refer to as “chicken skin”, which is when you have damaged keratin buildup in your skin causing small bumps.

It is also rich in vitamin A in the form of retinol which helps to treat acne lesions. It has been known to be used in melasma treatments. Vitamin A causes your scalp to produce sebum which strengthens hair and Papaya contains lycopene as well, which is good for hair growth.
